My Hero is an epic webcomic about Gods, Guardians, Queens and Lords !

It warns you :??Be careful what you wish for.? and ?Never meet your idols.?

Hi Alli, Hi Jim !

– Where do you come from ??
Alli: Ottawa, Ontario. Jim: Aylmer, Quebec
– How old are you ??
Alli: 33 Jim: 33
– Influences ??
Alli: Disney, Sailor Moon and Magic Knight Rayearth
– Art school or not ??
Alli attended half a year of animation at Algonquin College
– Favorite digital art software ??
Clip Studio Paint and Adobe Paintshop Pro
– Your working method ??
Jim writes the story, draws a thumbnail of terrible stickmen doing stuff with words on it. Alli must divine what in the world Jim drew, re-sketch it digitally. The two communicate differences and changes, then Alli roughs out the sketch and inks it. Jim then does the flats and minor shading tricks. Once the flats are done, Alli does the highlights and shadows and words.

– What your webcomic is about, in a symbolic way, the hidden sense ??
Expectations: how we work ourselves up, let ourselves down and surprise ourselves when we lose all presumptions. What is a hero other than someone else’s villain?

– Tell us more about your main character, the hero !?
Hasera is a studious, hard-headed and hot-tempered Guardian who can’t do the very basics of her job – healing. She is quite adept at running her mouth, swinging a giant ice-mace she calls Frostbloom and using magic that doesn’t require the consent of the Gods – which she kind of keeps under wraps because it’s frowned upon. She used to be the biggest Lark fangirl that walked the nine planes, but after meeting him, she’s not exactly thrilled to be trapped in an irreversible contract as his Guardian. If only someone had warned her!
– How do you see your future ??
Finishing My Hero! in approximately 5-6 more years. Getting one book printed every 4-5 chapters and hopefully being able to attend Cons. Once My Hero!’s first arc is done, we will be rebooting Out of My Element and working hard to up our game to do it justice!
– Your next goal ??
Jim: Finishing the current chapt- Alli: GETTING TO MAGNUS!
– Advices for beginners ??
– Your technical secret trick ??
Using References. I don’t know if that’s much of a secret trick, but Gods-damn does it help
